Brave : A Deep Body Journey ®

Inhabit the Body You Were Born In. Liberate Self-Expression. Belong to the Web of Life.

Brave was made to liberate self-expression. This is an invitation to authentic, embodied self-expression—a soulful space to peel back the layers, shed old stories, and move beyond censorship. Together, we (re)discover the many facets of you—sensitive, tender, playful, powerful, creative, and unique—that may have lived quietly, remembered from childhood, sparked or stifled depending on circumstance, or longed to emerge.

We explore the “social body” and its many forms—public persona, private life, and wild self that thrives when we feel safe and connected. This is a call to loosen what’s tense, uncover what’s hidden, and welcome the fullness of who you are. Through movement, voice, breath, sensation, and emotion, we go beyond thinking with the mind and listen — speak with the body as primary language — finding comfort, confidence, and freedom in the form you were born in.

Rooted in the Deep Body Method®, Brave is an 8-week creative embodiment program that blends therapeutic intuitive movement, creative exploration, and somatic inquiry. You’ll examine where you’ve felt censored, physically blocked, or muted—and gently dissolve the patterns that keep you small, uncomfortable, artificial, or tense.

Group sessions and one-on-one support offer a soft, playful space to practice belonging to your body, your story, and your communities. You will leave with increased physical ease, renewed creative inspiration, clearer communication, and a deeper sense of connection—to yourself, to others, and to this wild land. Brave is an invitation to take up space, explore your natural range, and live from a place of embodied exploration and truth telling.

Who This Is For

Brave is for adults of any gender who are ready to deepen their relationship with their bodies and expand their authentic range of self-expression.

This space is for you if you:

  • Are on a personal growth or creative path but still feel parts of yourself are muted, blocked, or out of reach.

  • Have felt your physical, emotional, or creative expression narrow over time — shaped by social norms, professional roles, or life pressures.

  • Spent much of your life feeling shy, “too much” or “not enough,” obedient, awkward, or censored — and want something different.

  • Crave embodied exploration beyond fitness, performance training, or other structured movement practices.

  • Once felt wild, free, and expressive, but sense that vibrancy has been dimmed — and are ready to reconnect with it.

All body types, abilities, social and cultural backgrounds, and identities are welcome here. I prefer a diverse group because varied life experiences enrich the collective learning.

Brave is for those ready to explore not only personal liberation, but also the relational and communal dimensions of authentic expression — where your story, your body, and your voice are seen, heard, and celebrated.

What you will emerge with…

From Tuesday, October 14 - Tuesday, November 18 we meet virtually, on Zoom from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Featuring (6) Group Calls, (2) One-on-One “Expression Sessions” with Indigo, and In-Person for an (Optional) Daylong Retreat following the completion of Brave.

Brave : Program Format

  • 6 weekly group sessions (2 hrs, Zoom) cumulative and curated by weekly theme. Consisting of lecture (introduction to concept), guided embodiment journeys (movement space), reflection (witnessing, partner connection), and integration (sharing, expressive arts).

  • Two 60-minute private sessions with Indigo (1) as you start of your journey and (2) as you close your journey.

These sessions are vital for deeper inquiry, guidance and integration of the program concepts and questions.

The first will be especially helpful for becoming familiar with the Deep Body Method, and also for identifying why you have chosen to embark on this journey. What are you dealing with? What life material are you bringing into the room?

The second session serves as a follow up as you make progress on your journey. This is not a path that starts and ends in 6 weeks. This is more of a check in to sense the discoveries/uncoverings/ recovering that have surfaced so far in the container of our time together. What has shifted? What needs deeper focus? Let’s give that space and holding.

  • Optional, yet encouraged in-person daylong retreat to bring your Bravery into the living collective and deepen your earth-body connection.

This is an adventure to alchemize through IRL guided journeys, heartfelt conversations, shared nature exploration, creative practices, and marvelous mealtime to nurture our Brave Ones and each other in Brave Community!

Date and location to be determined. Ideally by the end of November — in the Bay Area, with potential for a Portland, OR gathering.

Meet Your Facilitator & Guide

Indigo Jackson

My call to embodiment began with a dire need for comfort in my body. Injuries revealed not only physical pain but also the ways I had muted my authentic expression since adolescence. I turned that silencing inward—through addictive behaviors, self-sabotage, and feeling at war with myself. Both physical and emotional wounds became fertile ground for growth when I found the Deep Body Method®. Through repeated practice, sensations returned, pain softened, and I discovered new layers of artistry, aliveness, and freedom.

As a lifelong actor and empathy engine I have long explored human relationships and emotions, but Deep Body Journeys offered me a ritual space to evolve within a supportive community resensitizing body, earth, and mythos. My background in theater, dance, clown, and naturalist studies now weaves into my work as a Deep Body Guide—honoring play, curiosity, and ecology while welcoming what is raw, real, and ready to be met.

It is my desire to give you permission to discover the kaleidoscope of you.
